Notary Journal Definition: An official record book of notarizations performed by a notary. In most states it is a requirement to keep and maintain a notary journal as a legal record of all notarial acts preformed by the notary public. All entries must be in chronological order and have all required fields (date, type, name, id, address etc.) completed at the time of notarization. The notarial journal must be kept under the direct control of the notary to prevent fraud or manipulation. The notary journal must be able to be produced as evidence should a notarized document ever be challenged as to it validity.

How Do I Choose a Notary Journal?

When choosing a notary journal there are many different options to consider. Do you need a journal that is a Hard Cover Notary Journal or Soft Cover Notary Journal?
